The West Midlands International Recruitment Programme team has confirmed dates for it’s 2026-27 Live Legal and HR Webinar Series for care providers and local authorities.
The next webinar will take place on the 28th May 2026, 10am-11:15: Right to Work: Preparing for change in 2026 and how to stay compliant
Edward O’Brien, Senior Associate at Law Firm Lester Aldridge, will focus on the employment law considerations surrounding Right to Work checks for all workers, including how employers can carry them out in a fair, consistent, and non-discriminatory manner, in line with the newly published draft Code of Practice.
Edward will also provide a brief overview of the wider compliance framework, highlighting how Right to Work requirements align with sponsorship duties and international recruitment obligations set by the UK Home Office, and outlining the key risks employers should be aware of to avoid non-compliance.
