International Recruitment Rule Changes – Key Update

From the 9th April, care providers in England must prioritise recruiting international care workers already in the UK who need new sponsorship before hiring from overseas. This helps ensure displaced care workers can remain in the sector.

The Home Office has also raised the minimum salary threshold for care workers and senior care workers to £25,000 or £12.82 per hour.
