Here, we signpost to trusted organisations and resources to offer additional support when employing international care workers. Lots of these resources can be used with your wider workforce.

Pastoral Care Guide

The National Care Forum has produced a pastoral care guide, developed with the support of the Local Government Association and ADASS. This contains links to useful resources that will help social care employers to explore resettlement support and pastoral care for overseas recruits, including refugees and/or displaced people who are settled in the UK with the right to work.

Right to Work Video

In this video, we provide guidance to social care providers on complying with their Right to Work obligations, including when and how to carry out Right to Work checks. We also provide some practical tips on easy measures providers can put in place to ensure that they won’t fall foul of non-compliance issues.

Legal & HR Webinars

Lester Aldridge hosts monthly international recruitment webinars exclusively for West Midlands local authorities and care providers.

Past webinars include everything from the roll out to e-visas to pay and redundancy and the new employment rights bill.
